To support Oregon’s effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, World Forestry Center closed our Discovery Museum and Magness Memorial Tree Farm in March 2020. Oregon’s economy was founded on logging, and the timber industry, although it no longer has the clout it once did, continues to play an important role in the state. They are disappearing at an alarming rate and they need all the help and protection they can get. We are dependent upon them for our very survival, and we can no longer take them for granted.
